Lift Certification Program Showcased

This weekend, NASCAR’s Spring Cup Series Pennsylvania 400 is taking place at Pocono Raceway. Hoffman Services is particularly interested because the Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) will be the primary partner on the Richard Petty Motorsports No. 43 Ford Fusion driven by Aric Almirola.

The sponsorship provides a unique platform to share ALI’s vehicle service lift safety message with millions of NASCAR fans as the Institute launches the ALI Lift Inspector Certification Program.

Hoffman Services’ Matthew Morgan played an instrumental role in creating the Lift Certification Program and supports the ALI’s showcasing of the important program.

The Automotive Lift Institute No. 43 Ford wears a stunning paint scheme of orange, white and black. ALI’s new lift inspector certification logo is prominently displayed on both rear quarters, with the TV panel on the rear dedicated to the ALI website, wwwautolift.org, and tagline, “Your safety is riding on it.”

“It is an honor to sponsor the legendary No. 43 car and to have this opportunity to highlight the importance of vehicle service lift safety,” says R.W. “Bob” O’Gorman, ALI president. “Whether you’re a technician working under a lift, a shop owner or supervisor, or a car owner who wants to be sure your vehicle is lifted right, there’s more than a car riding on that lift: Your safety is riding on it.”

ALI is a trade association dedicated to promoting the safe design, construction, installation, inspection, service and use of vehicle service lifts. It sponsors several national vehicle lift safety standards, offers a third-party Automotive Lift Certification Program and is launching North America’s first national Lift Inspector Certification Program. This program will test and certify vehicle lift inspectors who are qualified to thoroughly inspect an installed vehicle lift and report on its suitability for continued use and/or the need for maintenance or repair.

The program kicks off with an event in Las Vegas Oct. 31-Nov. 1. Companies with a Certified Inspector on staff will be listed in an online directory on the ALI website in 2013 to make it easy for lift owners/operators to find local ALI certified inspectors to perform annual inspections.
